i wanna share some of the BLESSED things i've learned& recieved from reading this book.. Shannon Ethridge; God has truly given you the gift to SERVE HIM ultimately resulting in you being able to minister to many ladies out there in need of more Jesus in their lives, GodBless your ministry& keep on keeping on!
here's some of the few points that God used to speak to me, i pray you will be blessed as well:
- the notion of God's love coming to us free of chare, no strings attached, seems to go against every instinct in humanity. the Buddhist eight-fold path, the Hindu doctrine of karma, the Jewish covenant, the Muslim code of law- each of these offers a way to earn approval. only Christianity dares to make God's love unconditional.
- you are not just anybody. you are GOD's chosen. you are His Beloved bride.
- you can't do anything good enough to make Him love you any more than He already does, nor can you do anything bad enough to make Him love you any less. God is unchangeable, forever committed to His love relationship with you. only HE is capable of loving you without any limits whatsoever& only HE is deserving of your limitless love in return.<3
- lovers call you today& scorn you tomorrow. companies follow pay raises with pink slips. friends applaud you when you drive a classic car& dismiss you when you drive a dud. not God. God is always the same.Psalm 102:27
- with Him, there is no varaion or shadow due to change.James 1:17
- there is a LIFE CHANGING difference between knowing about God and knowing& experiencing God personally. you want to understand who God is? GET INTO HIS WORD.<3
ONE OF MY FAVORITES: - God goes to great lengths to call OUR ATTENTION to the sin that separates us from Him& how He longs for us to respond when we sense His loving correction. will we humbly die to ourselves& recieve His correction so that we can enjoy unbroken intimacy with Him?
- EVERY SMALL ACT OF OBEDIENCE LOOSENS SIN'S GRIP ON US.
- God is determined to reveal the fault lines running deep within our character so that we will allow Him to strengthen those faults& restore our relationship with Him.
- He wants us to love Him with a reckless abandon kind of love.<3
- even if my ears cannot HEAR Him and my eyes cannot SEE Him, my HEART are attuned to HIS VOICE, HIS PRESENCE and i know HE IS ALWAYS NEAR.
- my greatest misery has now become my greatest ministry!
- the best way to envision heaven is to imagine the presence of all things we LOVE about this world and the absence of all the things we hate. 2Peter 3:13
- satan seeks to subtract and divide from our lives, but Christ seeks to add and multiply.<3
- the more of our own emptiness we present to God in faith, the more He is able to pour into us from His abundance.
MY FAVORITE: - love is enough to draw us deeper into healing relationships with others& with God. His love is enough to transform us into the people He desires us to be. many of us prefer TO REVEAL TRUTH TO OTHERS rather than SIMPLY SHOW LOVE, but truth is a sharp sword that can HURT rather than help others, particularly if love is absent. our goal shouldn't be as much to expose others' sins as it is to see people FREED from their sin. HOW? by bringing them to a FULLER AWARENESS OF GOD'S PERFECT LOVE, WHICH COMPLETELY COVERS OUR SIN.<3
- so many people will NEVER read a Bible to discover God themselves; rather the READ THE BELIEVER.
- lets LIVE LOVED.<3
- our dreams are either self appointed or GOD ANNOINTED.
- sin hinders us from accurately hearing the voice of God in our lives. thats why we must submit to the pain of allowing God to correct& perfect our character!
- REGARDLESS OF THE PAIN THAT THIS LIFE BRINGS, WE WILL FOREVER REMAIN completely His<3
